Curriculum Development

StormwaterONE is a proud subsidiary of Rockfish Learning Management.  Regardless of your industry or topic-focus, RockfishLM provides a variety of Training Solutions including Compliance Training, Leadership Development, and Technical Skill Workshops.  There are many methods available to train your subcontractors, municipalities, and project participants about the proper use of BMP Products. 

Our curriculum is developed in concert with Subject Matter Experts (SME) from within the stormwater industry.  If you or your organization would like to receive compensation for the development of an eLearning course, please ask for more information regarding our SME Agreement.

1. Course Title
2. Course Outline and Objectives
3. PowerPoint File
4. A Script placed in the notes section of the PPT or a video of you presenting the course (which we would transcribe)
5. Exam Questions (if applicable)
6. Reference Materials mentioned in the training (forms, field guides, etc.)

Analysis Process:  Once our instructional design team receives the above items, we can begin the process to analyze the existing course materials.  We will perform a thorough review and hold a kickoff discussion on the scope of the project with any Subject Matter Experts (SME).  After the discussion, we will create and deliver the following:

• Analysis document confirming Project Scope

• Learning Objectives

• Course Outline (chapter by chapter)

Design Process:  The instructional designer will hold a design meeting to discuss media opportunities, formatting, and template design, sequence and structure of the course.  If you provide a video of classroom training, the transcribed files will be used to develop content for each slide of the eLearning course.  If you provide a PowerPoint file, we can import your file and use any notes you have entered on your slides for the eLearning slide content. We can then create the following deliverables for your review and approval:

• Storyboard (chapter by chapter and slide by slide)

• Audio script of the content (professional voice talent provides a recording of audio)

• Exam Questions and Quiz Questions (T/F, Multiple Choice, Drag and Drop, etc.)

Development Process:  With the approved outline, objectives, storyboard, and script, the instructional designer will create a captivating and engaging eLearning course!  The following will be developed in the eLearning course:

• Intro scene/Course Outline, Objectives, and Player introduction

• Definitions/Acronyms chapter

• Slide content and learning interactions

• Embed your photos and videos (if available)

• Screenshots to be created of any important documents referenced

• Chapter Summary learning interactions

• Exam questions

• Checkpoint Quiz slides

• Resources attached (applications, forms, guides, and website references)

Deployment Process:  Once the course has been created, we would place it in the eCampus web-based university and begin to offer it online.  Courses can be delivered in multiple formats or can be hosted on our platform, or a custom branded platform. 

We offer a full-interactive virtual testing facility with both proctored and unproctored exams.  We can create exam questions based on the eLearning course content or you can provide any existing exam questions that we would review.  The question bank allows multiple-choice, true/false, and fill-in-the-blank questions.
