Stormwater Management Program Overview

This Level 1 program covers an overview of the Clean Water Act, the National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) permit program, and the proper installation and maintenance of temporary pollution controls (Best Management Practices - "BMPs").

  • Define Erosion Control, Sediment Control, and Pollution Prevention
  • Describe erosion and sediment control Best Management Practices (BMPs) and the role they play in preventing pollution from entering neighboring surface waters of Georgia.
  • Describe the pollution prevention measures required while on a construction site.
