CGP Program Overview
This 4.5-hour computer based training course educates professionals about the Federal Construction General Permit. The Federal Construction General Permit covers stormwater and non-stormwater related construction discharges to waters of the United States from construction sites with a land disturbance area of one acre or more.
The Federal Construction General Permit is applicable for construction sites within Idaho, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Mexico, Indian Country lands, federal facilities, District of Columbia, Puerto Rico and all other U.S. territories.

For StormwaterONE students who have completed the CSR00: Federal Construction General Permit training program.

- The States of New Hampshire, New Mexico, and Massachusetts
- District of Columbia
- Puerto Rico and Guam
- As well as all other U.S. territories
Learning Objectives
This course will provide you with a comprehensive understanding of the 2017 Federal Construction General Permit so that you will understand:
- The history of the Clean Water Act and the National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) Program.
- The authorization process using the electronic Notice of Intent system (eNOI), and associated timelines.
- The erosion and sediment control requirements, as well as the requirements associated with site stabilization and pollution prevention.
- Allowable and prohibited stormwater and non-stormwater discharges.
- Inspection requirements and corrective actions.
- The makeup and requirements of a compliant Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP).
- How to terminate permit coverage using the eNOI system, and associated deadlines.
- Standard permit conditions including penalties for non-compliance.
