Subcontractor Awareness Program Overview

This 1.5 hour online course will educate non-land disturbing subcontractors and support staff on the basic principles and practices of erosion and sediment control, and promote the importance of complying with stormwater regulations for construction activities.

This course has been reviewed and recognized by the EPA and is a Level 100 United States Green Build Council approved course.

Learning Objectives

  • Describe the NPDES Permitting Program for the discharge of stormwater from construction sites;
  • Describe erosion and sediment control Best Management Practices (BMPs) and the role they play in preventing pollution from entering neighboring surface waters of New Mexico.
  • Identifying subcontractor responsibilities in maintaining the integrity of Best Management Practices (BMPs).
  • Describe the pollution prevention measures required while on a construction site.
