California General Construction Stormwater Awareness Training Program Overview
This 1.5 hour online course outlines the requirements of the California General Construction Permit, the Clean Water Act, and the NPDES Permitting Program. Participants will learn how to maintain permit compliance through strategies in erosion control, sediment control, and pollution prevention Best Management Practices (BMPs) during construction.
This program should be taken by StormwaterONE students that have completed the CA31: California General Construction Stormwater Awareness Training.

Intended Audience
For StormwaterONE students who have completed the CA31: California General Construction Stormwater Awareness Training.
Curriculum: California General Construction Stormwater Awareness Training
Learners will be required to complete one training module and complete a 25 question multiple choice, true/false exam.
Learning Objectives
- Describe the Clean Water Act, the National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) Program;
- Describe requirements of the California Construction General Permit;
- Describe erosion and sediment control Best Management Practices (BMPs) and the role they play in preventing pollution from entering neighboring surface waters of California;
- Identifying subcontractor responsibilities in maintaining the integrity of Best Management Practices (BMPs).
- Required maintenance of Best Management Practices (BMPs);
- Describe the pollution prevention measures required while on a California construction site.
