Flocculants for Stormwater Turbidity Reduction - Free Webinar

In this free on-demand webinar, stormwater professionals will explore the fundamentals of flocculants and their role in passive stormwater treatment systems.

Overview

Construction sites with fine silts, clays, and other difficult-to-control soils often face ongoing challenges with turbidity management. While traditional erosion and sediment control BMPs remain the foundation of stormwater compliance, there are situations where additional treatment methods may be needed to achieve water quality objectives.

In this webinar, stormwater professionals will explore the fundamentals of flocculants and their role in passive stormwater treatment systems. Led by Dr. Kyla Wood, Chief Science Officer of Applied Polymer Systems, this training provides an introduction to how flocculants work, how they enhance existing BMPs, and key considerations for safe and effective implementation.

Participants will learn about flocculant selection, performance testing, dosage considerations, the five fundamentals of effective flocculation, and important design elements used in passive treatment applications. Real-world examples and case studies help connect theory to practical field implementation.

Whether you are involved in SWPPP development, stormwater inspections, environmental compliance, construction management, or erosion and sediment control, this webinar provides valuable insight into one of the industry's most effective tools for managing challenging turbidity issues.

ABOUT US

STORMWATER MANAGEMENT TRAINING AND CREDENTIALING

StormwaterONE.com is operated by StormwaterONE, L.L.C. StormwaterONE is a private occupational trade school for stormwater management. Our school is located in Rocky Hill, Connecticut.

Our school has been in operation since 2007 and to date we have trained and credentialed more than thirty thousand construction professionals on the subject of stormwater management through our Internet-based learning system, which is referred to as the eCampus.

As the leader in computer-based stormwater management training and credentialing, our school's mission is to provide our students with the most comprehensive and up to date training of individual stormwater permits.

Our credentialing programs provide professionals with the skills and qualifications required to maintain construction sites in accordance with section 402 of the Clean Water Act. Section 402 of the Clean Water Act outlines the National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) permitting program and requires all construction sites disturbing one (1) acre or more of land to obtain permit coverage to discharge stormwater and other wastewater from construction sites.
