Turf Reinforcement Mats
Turf Reinforcement Mats (TRMs) are permanent BMPs.
These blankets are intended to support the vegetation once it becomes established rather than protect the soil prior to establishment of vegetation.
There are two (2) types of Turf Reinforcement Mats (TRMs): Composite mats, which have an inner degradable blanket, and Synthetic mats, which have no degradable part.
Turf Reinforcement Mats are typically filled with soil for proper installation.
